COFFEYVILLE, Kansas -- A Kansas railroad employee is being credited with locating a famous Coffeyville, Kansas cemetery headstone which went missing in late September.
On September 27, 2010 Coffeyville Police began an investigation into the theft of the Dalton brother's headstone.

On November 2, 2010, police say a Watco Railroad employee called them to say he found the headstone just off a county road north of Coffeyville lying in a creek.
Police responded and processed the headstone for fingerprints before returning it to the cemetery.
The headstone was reset at the Dalton gravesite last week.
Police say an investigation into the theft continues.
