TULSA, Oklahoma -- A slowdown on southbound U.S. Highway 169 just north of the 11th Street exit resulted in a four-vehicle crash Monday morning which slowed down traffic even further.
Tulsa Police say three vehicles -- an SUV, a pickup truck and a semi -- had to slow down rapidly because of a traffic backup on 169.
Police say a fourth vehicle, also southbound, didn't slow down, wedging itself under the rear of the semi tractor trailer.
That impact, Tulsa Police say, caused the semi to hit the pickup truck and the pickup truck to hit the SUV.
The initial impact resulted in a small fire in the SUV.
Police say no one was injured.
Officers say inattentive driving caused the accident, which backed up southbound traffic for about 45 additional minutes.
The driver of the SUV was ticketed.
