TULSA, Oklahoma -- A 41-year-old Tulsa man is now in the Tulsa County jail following a fatal shooting outside the Kendalwood Townhomes near 46th and Granite Monday morning.
Joe Nevels was arrested in the Best Buy parking lot next door.
After his arrest, Nevels was taken to a Tulsa hospital because of a neck injury.
He was released from the hospital Tuesday morning.
Police say the victim, 53-year-old Mark Miller, called his neighbor, who was not at home, after hearing her townhouse alarm go off before 11 a.m.
Police say Miller then grabbed his gun and confronted Nevels at a nearby parking lot.
Nevels was booked into the jail on complaints of 2nd degree burglary, 1st degree murder, resisting arrest and assault and battery.
