WARHORSE BASE, Iraq -- A U.S. Army soldier from Foyil helped organize a 5K race on Halloween at a base in Iraq.

The military says 2nd Lieutenant Crystal Patrick with the 25th Infantry Division says the race was a way to help her fellow soldiers feel a little closer to home.

"It is important for them to have this type of event that helps boost their morale," said Patrick.

The soldiers are based at Forward Operating Base Warhorse, Iraq.

Many of the soldiers who participated in the race scrounged together costumes.  Lt. Patrick ran in the race dressed as a clown.
