SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- Sand Springs Police say a 15-year-old boy accused of fatally stabbing his father with a 16-inch military type ka-bar knife was arrested for first degree murder.
It happened just before 9 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of North Roosevelt.
Detectives said Dustin Wade Moore got into an argument with his father, John Moore.
Other children at the home say John hit his son in the back of the head with a wrench. They say Dustin was holding a knife to scare his father, when his father ran forward and into the knife.
Officers found the knife in the yard.
Dustin's siblings were taken into protective custody. Sand Springs Assistant Police Chief Mike Carter says they've investigated several domestic incidents at the home in the past.
Carter say this is the city's first homicide of the year.
