TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Fire Department will continue taking applications to its fire academy on Monday.

Anyone interested in applying can go to the Tulsa Safety Training Center located at 10926 East Cameron Monday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Applications must be done in person.

Applicants need to bring $25 in cash or money order, a photo ID and proof of high school graduation or GED. Diplomas are not accepted; applicants must bring their high school or college transcripts.

The Tulsa Fire Department is using federal grant money to fill 48 positions. They're accepting 400 applicants. Testing will be held the first weekend of November.
