Rollover Accident Shuts Down Tulsa Interstate Early Friday Morning

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A rollover accident caused part of I-44 in Tulsa to be shut down early Friday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a woman was driving east on I-44 near Peoria about 2 a.m. when she fell asleep and lost control of her Jeep Liberty, causing it to roll on its side.

The woman was not seriously injured.

OHP shut down both eastbound lanes of I-44 at Peoria while crews cleared the wreckage. The lanes were reopened about 40 minutes later.
