TULSA, Oklahoma -- More than a month has passed since a fire destroyed Tulsa's Admiral Twin Drive-In.
The owners said Wednesday they've raised more than $24,000 to help rebuild the landmark. They also said they've hired an architect.
"I'm excited about the possibilities of the rebirth of the Admiral Twin. I think if we could get back open, I think the next couple of years from this groundswell could be awesome," Blake Smith, co-owner, said.
Smith said there is still a long way to go. Fundraisers are organizing a benefit concert on October 16th.
Eleven bands will take the stage where the enormous outdoor screen used to be. There will also be classic cars, inflatables for the kids and festival food.
