MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation is helping the Muskogee Police in their investigation into last week's deadly shooting involving a police officer.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on Friday when they found a woman fighting with her mother.
They say the woman, 38-year-old Letha Adams, hit Officer Perry Galvin and tried to take his weapon. Police said another officer, Ginny Bemo, was forced to shoot and kill Adams.

Muskogee County's DA asked the OSBI to assist in the investigation and Muskogee police say they have no problem with that.
"Some people would consider the police department investigating it a biased party. So when OSBI comes in to investigate behind us, we're glad for that. It takes some pressure off of us," said Corporall Pedro Zardeneta.
The OSBI would not elaborate about how exactly it will be helping with the investigation.
