OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An advertisement supporting State Question 744 that uses logos from the state's two largest universities remains available for viewing on the Internet.
University of Oklahoma President David Boren and Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis last week asked a group supporting SQ 744 to stop using the logos in the ad.

The ad is no longer being shown on television -- but as of Thursday it could still be seen on the website of the group Yes on 744. The proposed constitutional amendment would require Oklahoma within three years to meet the regional average of per-student spending in surrounding states.
Yes on 744 spokesman Walton Robinson says the group maintains the logos are publicly owned and are available for fair use.
