TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- To kick off National Housekeeping Week, Tulsa hotels sent their best housekeepers to a bedmaking battle.
They faced off at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center. Contestants were judged on neatness, smoothness, and time. Seconds were deducted for neatness, but were added for sloppiness.
News on 6 Anchor Tara Vreeland was one of the judges and says a well placed mint on a pillow was key to a higher score in her book.
In the end, Christy McClendon from Homewood Suites earned bedmaking bragging rights and a $200 prize.
