LeAnne Participates In Dollar Thrifty Pink Carnival Event

This has been another busy week as we countdown to race day! I was invited to be part of the Dollar Thrifty Pink Carnival event to help raise money for their team! They had all sorts of games and prizes and a photo op with me! It was hilarious! The organizers gathered pink boas, glasses, wigs, gloves, hair accessories and people could pay $5 to have their picture taken with me. Some folks wanted to get all dolled up while others were fine keeping in low-key! It was wonderful. It was a very clever way to raise awareness and some money for the cause!

I love it when people take an idea and run with it! Fundraising is hard and most of us aren't comfortable asking for donations for anything. But when you're passionate about a cause, it makes the "ask" easier! I'm always surprised at how generous people can be, if you only ask!
