TULSA, OK -- Dozens of bikers are revving their engines for a good cause.
Members of "Bikerz Burnin Out Breast Cancer" gathered Sunday at the Sonic on North Peoria to rally support for the upcoming Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Tulsa.
They participated last year, but this is the first year they're forming a team of their own. They're doing it in honor of Sharon Mims, who's a five year breast cancer survivor.
But, Mims says this isn't just about raising money for the cause.
"I believe that North Tulsa does not have enough education as far as breast cancer and we need to show the awareness," said Sharon Mims, of Bikerz Burnin Out Breast Cancer.
Six in the Morning Anchor LeAnne Taylor is also a survivor. Learn more about her battle with breast cancer, the upcoming race for the cure and how you can get involved.
