TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa homeowner said he was watching television in his living room Sunday morning when he smelled smoke coming from his garage in the 3700 block of East 46th Place. The man grabbed a hose and tried to put the fire out while neighbors called 911.

Tulsa firefighters arrived on scene and put the fire out at about 8 a.m.

Captain Julie Lynn with the Tulsa Fire Department said the fire was contained to the garage, but there was heavy smoke damage throughout the house.

There was no damage to any neighboring property.
