TULSA, OK -- Tulsa emergency crews were called to the scene of a fatality wreck involving a motorcycle Sunday morning. The Tulsa Police Department has identified the victim as 23-year-old Dustin A. Walling of Tulsa.

The wreck happened just after 9 a.m. at 19th Street and Garnett Road. On scene reports indicate Walling, the motorcyclist, collided with a truck that was pulling out of the McDonald's restaurant parking lot.

The motorcyclist had been stopped at 21st and Garnett Road heading northbound, according to Captain Karen Ford with the Tulsa Police Department.

Ford said the motorcyclist left the intersection at a normal rate of speed then "really punched the accelerator," hitting the truck at a high rate of speed.

Firefighters had to extinguish a small fire after the crash. The front wheel of the motorcycle landed behind the truck, and some debris was thrown about 125 feet from the collision site.

Ford said police were looking at the evidence and interviewing witnesses to the wreck.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. No other injuries were reported.
