QUAPAW, OKLAHOMA -- Ottawa County authorities are investigating at least seven suspicious fires in abandoned homes in Quapaw, Picher and Peoria over the past month.
Officials say they believe all seven fires were started by an arsonist.
On Wednesday, firefighters were called to a fire at an abandoned mobile home in Quapaw.
Quapaw Police Chief Gary Graham believes at all of the fires are related.
"Every one of them so far there has been no utilities or electrical so you can rule out electrical problems. It is obviously somebody setting them. That is what is frustrating it takes us away from things where people actually need us, to deal with something where people act reckless and careless burning something down just because," said Gary Graham, Quapaw Police Chief.
Officials this is the second arson fire in the same block in Quapaw this week.
