TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- The Tulsa Fire Marshal is investigating a string of brush fires in north Tulsa late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Fire officials say they were called out after six brush piles were spotted on fire in a construction zone on Apache near 33rd East Avenue.

It's not clear how the fires started, but Tulsa Police and fire investigators are looking into whether construction crews started them to get rid of the brush or if it was vandalism.

It took firefighters about two hours to put the fires out.
