TULSA, OK – An explosive device was found at Tulsa International Airport Wednesday afternoon, according to the Transportation Security Administration.
Tulsa International Airport described the device as a "novelty item."
The incident happened about 4 p.m. at the airport's central security checkpoint.
TSA cleared passengers from the checkpoint for about 15 minutes while the item was "containerized" and moved to a remote location.
The airport was not shut down during the incident. No flights were affected.
Operations returned to normal a short time later.
No one was injured.
