Robberies, Homicides Up According To Latest Tulsa Police Crime Stats

The Tulsa Police Department reports a rise in robberies and homicides during the last month, but a decrease in overall crimes and assaults.

TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Police Department reports a rise in robberies and homicides during the last month, but a decrease in overall crimes and assaults.

The new statistics come out of the latest CompStat briefing from the Police Department. TPD says changes in reporting procedures during the early part of the year impacted some of the statistics.

For the year to date, all crime reports are down 8%. TPD reports auto theft numbers are stabilizing and traffic accidents are down for the month by 13%.
