Bartlesville Teen Faces Bomb Hoax Charge

A Bartlesville teen is in the Washington County jail in connection with fake bomb found in the parking lot of Bartlesville High School parking lot in June.

BARTLESVILLE, OK -- A Bartlesville teen is in the Washington County jail in connection with a fake bomb found in the parking lot of Bartlesville High School parking lot in June.

Eighteen-year-old Daniel Armstrong turned himself in this week.

Earlier this month, Bartlesville Police Chief Tom Holland said three teens were behind the hoax.

Surveillance video from the school recorded on June 22nd helped identify the three. Two of the teens are 17 years of age.

Armstrong remains in jail on a felony charge of placing a simulated explosive device. His bond is set at $125,000.

His next court appearance is August 13th.
