Muskogee Man Arrested For Abuse Of 1-Year-Old Boy

MUSKOGEE, OK -- A Muskogee man has been arrested for child abuse after a 1-year-old boy was admitted to a Muskogee hospital with severe injuries.

William H. Shamblin, 24, is expected to be charged with child abuse after telling police investigators he caused the boy's injuries accidentally, according to Corporal Pedro Zardeneta with the Muskogee Police Department.

The boy was initially seen at Muskogee Regional Medical Center Tuesday evening then transported to a Tulsa area hospital with severe head injuries and other injuries to his body.

Police arrested Shamblin at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
