TULSA---A group of young bicyclists with the Bike and Build program stopped in Tulsa to raise awareness to America's affordable housing crisis. Traveling from Boston, Massachusetts to Santa Barbara, California, the group is 1,816 mile into a 3,753 mile trip.

‘We stop at 10 different locations including Tulsa today and build for affordable housing groups,' said biker Courtney Curtner, ‘we do a little bit different things everyday and it's nice to get off the bike every once in a while and get to help people out.'

Today they were in Tulsa painting a home with Habitat for Humanity, one of several affordable housing providers to work with. Though the riding is difficult sometimes, the cyclists say they become energized just thinking of the people they will help next.

‘So many compliments and ‘thank you's, it's just been fantastic' said Courtney.
