Delaware County Toddler Killed By Falling Garage Door

A 2-year-old girl was killed when a garage door fell on her at about 9 p.m. Monday at a residence in rural Delaware County.

DELAWARE COUNTY -- A 2-year-old girl was killed when a garage door fell on her at about 9 p.m. Monday at a residence in rural Delaware County.

The child was crushed when the door of an outside shop came off its hinges and fell on her, according to a release from the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.

She was taken by personal vehicle to a waiting ambulance then transported to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas where emergency room physicians pronounced her dead.

The death has been officially ruled an accident.
