Pryor Man Dies In Rollover Accident

MAYES COUNTY, OK – A Pryor man died early Sunday after a rollover accident just west of Adair, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Whitney Lee Marlin, 42, was ejected from the Chevy Pickup he was driving. Troopers said Marlin was trying to pass another vehicle when he went off the road, hit a mailbox, over-corrected and struck a fence.

Marlin's passenger, Taylor Wayne Melchior, 20, was not hurt in the accident.

Troopers said neither Marlin nor Melchior were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol is believed to play a role in the accident.
