TALALA, OK -- Jeremiah Mitchell's road to recovery is taking him back to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Cincinnati.
The six-year-old Talala boy went back Wednesday for a checkup.
Mitchell is one of the Oologah school children who contracted bacterial meningitis in March. The disease forced the amputation of his arms and legs as well as facial reconstruction surgery.
Two children died as a result of the outbreak.
