CLAREMORE, OK -- The son of Oologah Police Chief Novale Thompson turned himself in Wednesday on a felony charge of impersonating a police officer, according to the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.

Curt Thompson, 34, was booked into the Rogers County Jail. 

Thompson is accused of taking his father's police car and pretending to be a police officer on July 1st

The Oologah town board held an emergency meeting Tuesday to discuss the issue, but did not take any action against police chief Novale Thompson. 

Curt Thompson is out of the Rogers County jail on $10,000 bond.
