OWASSO, OK -- It's their mission to provide scholarships to families of those killed or disabled in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, Folds of Honor is getting some help.
On Tuesday, they celebrated the grand opening of their $1.3 million national headquarters. It's just a chip shot away from the Patriot Golf Course in Owasso.
The Oxley Foundation donated the land and Associated Builders and Contractors donated materials and manpower.
Along with the snappy new digs, guests will see an 'eternal flame' and a flag that flew in combat in Iraq.
"If you're here at 1:00, you'll see the entire golf course shuts down and we take a moment to reflect to pause to remember those sacrifices that are made each and every day," said Major Dan Rooney, Folds of Honor.
Major Rooney served three tours in Iraq. He started Folds of Honor in his Broken Arrow home.
Last year, Folds of Honor awarded $1,300 in scholarships.
