TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa area educators get a lesson in landmines. And their teacher is a keen canine with a nose for danger.

The Marshall Legacy Institute brought Ootsie to town to help give a better understanding of life in war-torn countries.

The average landmine costs just three dollars but it costs about $20,000 to train a mine detecting dog.

The Children Against Mines program encourages student groups to get involved and sponsor a dog.
