UNDATED -- President Obama's pick to fill the open seat on the Supreme Court played her cards close to the vest during her confirmation hearings.

Despite probing questions, Senators were unable to get Elena Kagan her to reveal much about her legal views.

That began to frustrate Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn.

Senator Tom Coburn, (R) Oklahoma: "I have to tell ya, my hair has grayed a little bit the last two days because of your position or lack of emphasis on original intent."

Elena Kagan, Supreme Court Nominee: "Senator Coburn, I said in my opening statement that I was only going to make a single pledge, the pledge that I made in my opening statement, but I'll make you another: I'll re-read the Federalist Papers."

Senator Tom Coburn, Supreme Court Nominee: "Thank you. I'd appreciate that."

Democrats and Republicans agree the hearings revealed nothing that might threaten Kagan's confirmation.
