Broken Arrow---If you are looking to return to your roots as a ‘hunter-gatherer', or just like fresh berries, you might want to head out to Thunderbird Berry Farm. Owners Don and Nedra Hansen have a bumper crop of blueberries available for picking of purchase.
A kids love helping pick the delicious berries from the many rows of blueberry bushes.
‘They're suited for this picking because they're low to the ground,' said Don Hansen, ‘and that's where the best berries are, they're just out in the country and picking berries and do well with it.'
And if you are low on funds you can pick three buckets of berries and keep one for free.
‘If you pick two then you get the one for free, which I'm all about doing,' said Kristy Still, ‘so we'll see if I can get my husband to work a little harder.
This is a great deal says Money Saving Queen Sarah Roe.
‘You get low prices and you can save them all year long to use them later when prices are high in the middle of winter,' said Rowe.
