TULSA, OK -- A series of traffic accidents in the southbound lanes on U.S. Highway 75 where it splits with I-244 caused a mess Tuesday morning.
Tulsa Police and Fire were first dispatched after a traffic accident just south of the split.
As officers were working that accident, a southbound truck lost control, striking the bridge railing over Southwest Boulevard.
That accident started a series of chain reaction accidents in the southbound lanes back down to I-244.
In all, about nine vehicles were involved in those accidents.
Authorities say there were some injuries. EMSA did transport several to Tulsa hospitals. No word on if any of those injuries were serious.
Tulsa Police had to close the southbound lanes for a time in order to clean up from the accidents.
