TULSA, OK -- Lots of folks have above ground pools, but one Tulsa couple and their kids have what could only be described as a "way above" ground pool.
On Monday there was a fire downtown in the old Chamber of Commerce building at 6th and Boston.
A viewer submitted a picture to NewsOn6.com showing the fire trucks in front of the building. But, if you take a second look at the picture, you notice something else, a swimming pool on a balcony at the Philtower.
The Philtower put the News On 6 in touch with Tom Fee who, along with his wife and their five children, live on the 12th floor.
Last weekend he said the kids were hot and wanted to swim.
"Let's go out and do something about it today," Tom Fee said. "And so this is what we got, let's go look."
It's so cool. Twelve stories up on a balcony overlooking 5th and Boston, a small swimming pool. So successful since he set it up it'll soon be permanent.
"This is a 12-foot round," he said. "The permanent one we're going to do a 12-foot by 12-foot square."
"You feel like you're floating," Fee said.
Not in the water but in the air, 12 stories up. You can see a lot from so high up.
So a simple picture from a viewer tipped the News On 6 off to a way cool swimming pool way, way above downtown Tulsa.
