Tulsa Police Searching For Suspect In North Tulsa Shooting

TULSA, OK – A 19-year-old Tulsa man is in critical condition after he was shot in front of his house Wednesday afternoon.

Tulsa Police say the victim was sitting in his car near 600 E 50th Street North when one or two men came up and started firing. Police say the victim was updating the tags on his car when the shooting happened. They say he was shot multiple times.

The victim's mother came outside when she heard gunshots.

"His mother was driving him to the hospital and because she felt that he was in a dire straights at the time she did not want to stop," said Tulsa Police Captain Karen Tipler: "So officers went ahead and followed them to a local hospital."
