TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa City Council is not reconsidering their vote to deny money for the mayor's office payroll. Mayor Dewey Bartlett asked the council to reconsider in at Thursday night's meeting, but no councilor put it on the agenda.

Bartlett told Councilors Tuesday if they did not approve $120,000 for his office payroll, he would shuffle 7 other employees in his office to other departments for payroll purposes, for the month of June. Bartlett said his office had enough money to pay employees through May.

The Council meeting Thursday is their last meeting of the month.

There is an agenda item authorizing the mayor to transfer up to $100,000 between city accounts, but the transfers could only be within city departments, not between them, and the authority would expire July 31, 2011.
