TULSA, OK -- We now know more about what role police believe Alonzo Johnson played in the murder for hire of Tulsan Neal Sweeney.
A newly released affidavit says Johnson is responsible for stealing the get-away vehicle that was used in the murder. It says a person who worked at the shop where the van was taken in Muskogee, admitted making copies of the keys and giving them to Johnson.
The man charged with executing Sweeney was caught on tape, admitting he got the van from Johnson.
Tulsa police recovered the van after the shooting at a Tulsa apartment complex. They say phone records show Johnson was in close contact with the accused shooter and another key suspect, in the hours before the hit.
