Four-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Tulsa Motel Pool

TULSA, OK -- A four-year-old boy, who was taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition Monday evening after going under in a pool at a Tulsa motel, has died.

It happened just after 8 p.m. at the Econo Lodge at 3200 South 79th East Avenue, near 31st and Memorial.

EMSA says family members pulled the boy from the pool and CPR was immediately performed.

The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital.

EMSA says the incident is another reminder for parents about the importance of pool safety.

"It's absolutely imperative, to not, don't even turn your back," said James Postoak, EMSA Field Operation Supervisor.
