TULSA, OK -- The City of Tulsa launched a free housing locator website this week, linking people with available rental housing.
TulsaHousingSearch.org – a web-based service supported by a toll-free, bilingual call center – lets landlords advertise properties free of charge, while renters can search for free to find rentals that fit their needs.
Prospective renters can find both public and private housing listed at the site. They can also search by specific needs such as access to medical facilities, public transportation, and schools. Listings can also be sorted by ZIP code, price, date available and other factors.
"Access to affordable housing is critical to our economy and to the health of our community," said Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett.
"We believe this service will greatly assist Tulsans in locating the housing they need and encourage property providers to list available units and help make this site valuable to the community."
Tulsans can search http://www.tulsahousingsearch.org/ online 24 hours a day or call a toll-free, bilingual call center for assistance: 1-877-428-8844, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
