Tulsa Police Investigate Shooting On East Ute

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting in the 500 block of East Ute at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

They say a group of men were in the front yard of the East Ute home working on cars. A second group of men walked up and an argument ensued.

Both suspect and victim exchanged gunfire, police say. The victim received a non-life threatening wound and was transported by personal vehicle to a Tulsa hospital.

The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Police are also investigating an incident nearby at Ute and Frankfort where some shell casings were recovered.

It is not immediately clear if the scenes are related or if the shell casings are from a previous shots fired call.
