TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Public Schools Assistant Principal Richard Yerton is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. May 24. Yerton faces three charges of lewd molestation and two counts of child sexual abuse.
Yerton appeared before two Tulsa County judges Wednesday as his attorney made a variety of requests.
Judge Allen Klein issued Yerton's release on an aggregate bond of $150,000, a reduction from the $500,000 bond set on Monday. This was at the request of Yerton's attorney, Richard O'Carroll.

Yerton also appeared before Judge Glassco for O'Carroll's request to disqualify one of two prosecuting attorneys, Jake Cain. Cain and Attorney Christina Wolfram are representing the state of Oklahoma.
Glassco passed on the request, sending the question to a preliminary hearing judge. Bond was posted for Yerton and released from jail.
Tulsa Public Schools has begun Yerton's termination process.
