UNDATED -- Green Country's cash-strapped schools take another financial hit.
School leaders say they were surprised to find their May checks from the state were short.
Tulsa Public Schools' payment was down $1 million, bringing the district's deficit for the year to $7.6 million.

Broken Arrow Schools was short more than $360,000, for a total cut of more than $2.5 million.

Jenks Schools got more than $220,000 less this month. Their cut for the year is also about $2.5 million.

This latest cut comes as districts across the state are bracing for a 10% cut in state money for next year.
