TULSA, OK -- City of Tulsa officials say city crews will not be removing or hauling debris from private properties.
Tulsa says local residents dealing with tree debris on their property have several options for debris disposal.
Debris can be cut into four-foot or shorter sections and bundled at the curb for refuse collectors to pick it up with the next regular trash collection.
Or it can also be taken to the City of Tulsa's Greenwaste site at 10401 E. 56th St. North.
Greenwaste site hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week. The disposal is free for Tulsa residents. Those dropping off tree debris there must show a current driver's license with a Tulsa address.
In Glenpool, they will have a temporary dump site set up Thursday for tree debris due to damages from Thursday's storm.
The dump site is located on 151st and U.S. Highway 75 on the southeast corner, a road runs south off of 151st that will lead to the dump area.
The dump site will be open from 8:00am to 8:00pm every day through Friday, May 21st and will be open the following week from 8:00am to 5:00pm until Friday, May 28th.
The dump site is for tree or wood debris only and Glenpool citizens must show proof of residency.
For the next few weeks, Glenpool city crews will be picking up tree debris starting on the north side of 141st St. at Birch St. moving east to Elwood and then along the south side of 141st from Elwood back to Birch St.
If you have debris in your yard and want city crews to pick it up, please move the debris to ditches or along the roadside and be sure not to cover meter boxes. The debris removal process by Glenpool city crews may take up to three weeks in some areas.
