TULSA, OK -- Paws Under The Stars will raise money for man's best friend from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. The fundraiser is being held to celebrate Joe Station Dog Park and raise funds for park improvements.
There will be live music from Tulsa bands Finnigans Awake and Miller & Furnas. Several local restaurants are providing food including Blue Moon Café, Knotty Pine BBQ, Café Elote, Queenies, Leon's and the Garlic Rose.
Organizers are suggesting a $20 donation for entry to the event. Dollar raffle tickets will be available for prizes including gift cards, pet services and other donations from area businesses like QuikTrip and Marilyn Ihloff.
Joe Station Bark Park is located about a mile west of downtown Tulsa and the BOK Event Center.
"It is easily accessible from the Gilcrease Museum Exit from US 412 which is less than one mile west of the 412/ US 75 interchange," organizer Susan Boyle said in a news release.
"From that interchange, go south about a quarter mile to the light at Charles Page Boulevard, turn left (east). The bark park will be on the left (north) and is easily located because it was a baseball field before conversion into a dog park and the flood lights make it easy to locate," she said.
