BROKEN ARROW, OK -- One group is using Wednesday night's Cinco De Mayo celebration to help push the opening of a new community center.
Ella Suttle's Pepco Center was one of seven community centers closed this year because of budget cuts.
Compadres Mexican Grills in both Broken Arrow and Owasso donated part of the proceeds from their sales Wednesday to the effort.
Suttle says it's important to get these centers open again.
"I'm kind of fearful that things, we hope it will be a good summer, but I'm just fearful they won't have anything to do to keep them busy," she said.
Organizers hope to open the Pepco Center in a new location, the Northland Shopping Center on 36th Street North.
