TULSA, OK -- American Airlines and the Transport Workers Union have reached a tentative contract agreement, according to TWU Local 514.
A brief message on the web site for Local 514 says the following:
"We have reached a tentative agreement covering 'maintenance and related' members. We'll have details as they become available."
The statement is from Steve Luis, the president of TWU Local 514.
Key topics included in the tentative agreement include compensation rates with pay increases dated Wednesday, shift premiums and profit sharing. The number of paid holidays would be increased from five to eight per year with two "personal days" added.
Other topics include retirement and vacation benefits.
It's been at least two years since the TWU has had a contract with the airline.
