TULSA, OK -- It's a simple message that can have an important on impact on your child's health.
Hillcrest Medical Center and the Tulsa Health Department are teaming up once again for the flu prevention campaign, "Don't Bug Me."
Part of the fun for Green Country students is a poster contest. Two winning posters will become the coloring sheets for next year's campaign.
Health experts say this year's program took on a new importance.
"We had H1N1 come into our community, and into our lives. And you know, sometimes that can be very scary," said Melanie Christian, with the Tulsa Health Department. "The "Don't Bug Me" flu campaign is really a fun, more light-hearted way to remind kids how to properly wash their hands and cover their cough."
This is the sixth year for the program. "Don't Bug Me" has been such a success, it's been duplicated in 33 states.
