Tulsa's BOK Center Nominated For ACM Award

Tulsa's BOK Center has been nominated by the Academy of Country Music for Venue of the Year.

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa's BOK Center has been nominated by the Academy of Country Music for Venue of the Year.   

In a news release from the BOK Center, in order to be considered for this award, the venue must have bought or promoted at least five country concerts during the prior calendar year of January 1 to December 31, 2009 and be in good standing with all agents.  

Some of the country concerts at the BOK Center of the past year and a half include:

  • Rascal Flatts 
  • Carrie Underwood 
  • Trace Adkins 
  • Keith Urban with Sugarland 
  • Taylor Swift 
  • Alan Jackson 

Venue of the Year is an off-camera award presented at the annual "ACM Honors" event held in Nashville later this year.  The BOK Center is competing against event centers in New Hampshire, Tennessee, Missouri and North Carolina.
