TULSA, OK -- Tulsa firefighters battled fully involved structure fire Thursday afternoon. They got the call at 4:12 p.m. that a vacant house was burning in the 5900 block of West 8th Street.

The fire appears to be suspicious in nature. There are no utilities at the house.

Neighbors told firefighters that vagrants had been know to use the house for shelter, but no one was found inside. There were no injuries and the house is a total loss.

The residence was slated for demolition at some point in the coming weeks.

Shortly after that call came in, another vacant building was reported to be on fire. This structure fire was at 5050 North Peoria, in a former beauty shop.

That fire was quickly brought under control.  An investigation into the fire's cause continues.
