Cherokee Co. Man May Have Frozen To Death

TAHLEQUAH, OK -- A Tahlequah man was found frozen to death on Christmas Day. 

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office found 23-year-old Brian VanBuskirk lying in a field. 

VanBuskirk's family told deputies he was trying to walk to a friend's house two miles away and never returned home.

Investigators say they didn't find any evidence of foul play, and believe he was overcome by the freezing temperatures and heavy snow.
