TULSA, OK -- Oral Roberts, Evangelist and founder of Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association and Oral Roberts University, has been hospitalized near his home in California, following a fall on Saturday, from which he is suffering broken bones.

Roberts remains hospitalized for treatment of the broken bones and a slight case of pneumonia. He is listed in stable condition, according to a statement released Monday.

The Roberts family "appreciates all the prayers for Dr. Roberts, as they trust he will make a speedy and miraculous recovery," according to the statement.

Roberts, 91, has remained involved in the ministry he founded in 1947 as much as his health allows.

Roberts continues to serve as chancellor of the university he founded in 1963.
