BROKEN ARROW, OK -- A man is dead after a high-speed chase with Broken Arrow police.
Police say they pulled a vehicle over at about 1:00 a.m. Monday at Aspen and Kenosha. Officers believed the driver was driving while under the influence.
When an officer walked up to the car, he noticed a gun in the front seat. That's when police say the driver sped away at a high rate of speed.
Police followed the driver to an area on east Kenosha by 301st where they say the suspect vehicle left the roadway and came to a stop.
When officers approached the vehicle, they discovered that the driver was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The identity of the driver has still not been confirmed as he had no identification, according to police. Investigators are working to confirm his identity and make notifications to his family.
